8:00 a.m. Pick up at Hobbitenango offices in Antigua Guatemala
(You can leave your luggage at our offices or at our base in La Soledad village.)
9:30 a.m. Arrival at Aldea La Soledad for a chat and
equipment.
10:00 Start of the climb up the volcano.
2:00 pm Lunch at the camp (depending on walking pace)
4:00 pm – Start of the ascent to the volcano (you pay extra only if you feel energetic enough to do
5 more hours of climbing)
7:00 pm – Dinner by staff at camp
4:00 a.m. Start of the climb up Acatenango volcano (1.5-hour climb)
7:00 a.m. Return to base camp.
7:30 a.m. Breakfast by Hobbit Staff.
8:15 a.m. The descent to Aldea de la Soledad begins.
10:30 Return to Old Guatemala to enjoy the colonial city

This optional experience is included in all packages and offers an unparalleled view of the sunrise from the summit of Acatenango Volcano. The hike begins at 4:00 a.m., when our expert guides will lead you to the highest point of the volcano.
From this privileged location, you can contemplate the majestic Volcán de Fuego from a unique perspective, observing its eruptions from above as the sun rises on the horizon.
⚠️ Important requirement: A headlamp is required to safely complete this hike. You may bring your own or rent one at our facilities in La Soledad.
